The decision to expand the Maharashtra cabinet has been put off until after the legislature’s winter session in view of the possibility of a split in Maha Vikas Aghadi. “We fear that BJP may try to do a Karnataka-style experiment in the state. If a few legislators quit during the session, the govt will collapse, so we are not taking any chances," an NCP leader said.
