A bamboo pit viper slithered into a house recently in Mumbai where a local smacked it with a stick that damaged the snake’s backbone. A local rescuer took the injured snake to the state forest department, where Dr Deepa Katyal and radiologist Dr Ravi Thapar did an MRI scan and administered “cold laser treatment”. Snake could move again after laser treatment.
