Govt healthcare spend up at 41% in FY18 from 29% in FY14
The share of government spending in total health expenditure increased significantly to 40.8% in 2017-18, up from 32.4% in previous year, and went up from 28.6% in 2013-14 during the UPA regime, the National Health Accounts estimates show. Steady fall in Covid cases halted in post-Diwali week

Teltumbde, in-charge of Maharashtra-Madhya Pradesh-Chhattisgarh zone, was among 26 Maoists killed. Among the dead, six were women, including Vimla alias Imla, who was Teltumbde’s bodyguard. Another of his bodyguards, Bhagatsingh, too, was found dead.

Delhi schools shut for a week, construction ban for 3 days

26 Maoists gunned down near Maha-C'garh border
At least 26 Maoists were gunned down by Gadchiroli police C60 commandos on Saturday after a 10-hour gun-battle near Mardintola village, in the Gyarapatti-Kotgul forest region of Dhanora taluka along the Maharashtra-Chhattisgarh border. Sources said that Milind Teltumbde, a central committee (CC) member of the banned Communist Party of India (Maoist), had also been killed in the gunfight.
