Unemployment rate back at pre-lockdown levels
The unemployment rate fell to its pre-lockdown level of 8.5% in the week ended June 21, led by big gains in the rural areas, economic think tank CMIE said. 85% of migrants had to pay for journey home
More than 85% of migrants surveyed by a volunteer group, Stranded Workers Action Network (SWAN), said they had to pay for their journey home during the Covid-19 lockdown.
